Purple Flowers
When a person wishes to purchase flowers or to use flowers at an event such as a wedding, a party, fundraising event or other, careful thought should go into choosing the appropriate color. A person may already have a color theme in mind and then they can have flowers that compliment that theme.
For example; if the color theme is pink it would be wise to certainly have pink flowers; but that color should be broken up a bit by some splashes of other colors that fall into the overall theme such as purple and white. In this way, guests will not be blinded by wall-to-wall pink and the purple flowers add a nice touch to break up the color.
The colors of flowers also have meaning. If a person wishes to abide by these symbols it is important to know what purple flowers stand for. The color purple has been attached to royalty for a long time. The purple flowers stand for pride, success and dignity.
Keeping this in mind, purple can be a very appropriate color to choose to give when a person is retiring from a long career or has achieved a promotion at work. When an arrangement is made with purple flowers being the focal point, it is important to break up the color with others that add complementary colors; such as pink, blue, and white.
On the other hand, unless an arrangement is filled with multi-colored flowers, one should not have one of just purple and yellow; two colors that do not flow well together. Additionally, if a person's favorite color is purple; no matter what the occasion it then is very appropriate to give purple flowers, as the receiver will be well aware that purple was chosen with careful thought.
